- The program starts with the arrival at Lima in the afternoon/night. So early check-in is not included if pax arrives in the morning.

ITINERARY
1st day | Arrival in Lima (154 masl)
Arrival at Lima’s international airport in the afternoon or night. Meeting with our personnel, transfer and
lodging in hotel (private service, English-speaking assistant). Overnight.
2nd day | Lima / Arequipa (2.300 masl)

Breakfast in hotel. Transfer from the hotel (9:45am) to the colonial and bohemian quarter of Barranco to
visit a small shop of artisan roasting coffee where every day, best-quality beans are selected to produce
the best Peruvian organic coffee in town. Following this, we will visit a secret garden to try a lucuma
milkshake right underneath the tree that bears this fruit. We will then go to a traditional marketplace in
the San Isidro district to try some local fruits and know about their influence in the international cuisine
development. The following stop is at one of the best ceviche spots located in the Miraflores district. Here,
you will have the opportunity to prepare Pisco sour with a professional bartender, and will discover the
secrets for a perfect ceviche by preparing it along with the main chef. Our last stop will be at the Huaca
Pucllana Restaurant for a gourmet Peruvian lunch (private service, English-speaking guide). Transfer to
the airport to take the flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, transfer and lodging in the hotel. Dinner in hotel.
Overnight.
3rd day | Arequipa

Breakfast in hotel. Gastronomic tour (private service, English-speaking guide): Culinary experience in
Arequipa with interactive classes of local cuisine with the conduction of Mr. Roger Falcón, son of the owner of
one of the most typical chili peppers in Arequipa, which is located in the district of Characato. Roger, with
the utmost intelligence, has achieved the mixture of the ancestral knowledge of his lady mother with his new
culinary concepts, opening in the center of Arequipa the Benita de los Claustros (Cloisters), and Victoria in
the second block of San Francisco Street. Between the story of stories and anecdotes purely arequipeñas,
Roger combines his knowledge and studies on traditional Arequipeña cuisine and customs in a genuine
atmosphere of hot pepper showing 500 years of gastronomic history, architecture, Ideology, etc. In the
afternoon, visit to the historical center and Santa Catalina (private service, English-speaking guide).
Dinner in hotel. Overnight.
4th day | Arequipa / Cusco (3.399 masl)

Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cusco. At the arrival, transfer and lodging in
the hotel. Morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, historical center walking tour (fee entrance to the
Cathedral and Santo Domingo/Coricancha are included) and transfer to the ruins of Sacsayhuaman,
Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay (private service, English-speaking guide). In the evening, 5-
course dinner at MAP Café Restaurant. Overnight.
5th day | Cusco / Sacred Valley (2.846 masl) / Cusco

Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the place where they our cook will teach us how to elaborate a traditional
Pachamanca. After helping preparing the ingredients and placing them under ground, we will wait to open
it. After having lunch, transfer to the hotel (private service, English-speaking guide). Rest of the day is at
leisure. Overnight.
6th day | Cusco / Machu Picchu (2.430 masl) / Cusco

Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Poroy’s station to take the train to Aguas Calientes (almost 3.30-hour journey,
subject to availability). Upon arrival, take the 30-minute shuttle bus up to Machu. After the guided tour,
lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge. Then, take the shuttle bus descend to Aguas Calientes town for your train
back to Poroy. Upon arrival, transfer to Cusco (almost 30-minute journey) (private service, English-speaking
guide). Overnight.
Optional: Hiram Bingham train (09.05/12.24 – 17.50/21.16, luxury class, subject to availability, every
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday).
The service includes a brunch and excellent selection of Peruvian wines / On board music entertainment /
Tourist guide for every group of 14 passengers / Tickets and exclusive transportation to Machu Picchu / Tea
Time in the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge / Gourmet dinner on the return journey.
The service does not include the lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge.
The train ticket, allows the transport clients and their hand luggage (01 bag or backpack) with a weight of
no more than 05kg/11lb and with a maximum size of 62 linear inches/157 cm (length + height + width),
with the cars intended for this purpose. We will take the luggage from the Sacred Valley to the hotel in
Cusco.
7th day | Cusco / Lima

Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima. Upon arrival, meeting with our personnel
and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the historical center (fee entrance to the Cathedral and
San Francisco Convent are included) and the Larco Museum. Then, 7-course tasting menu at Café del
Museo Larco (private service, English-speaking guide). Overnight.
8th day | Departure from Lima 
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport (passengers are requested to be at the airport 3 hours before
international flight).
THE PROGRAM INCLUDES
- All transfers on arrival and departure of each locality, assisted by expert personnel.
- NOTE: In Lima, in/out transfers from 2 to 4 pax will be assisted by our Spanish-speaking driver, except for the international arrival transfer, which is always attended by our English-speaking personnel.
- All the excursions indicated in the program with Spanish/English-speaking local guides.
- All entrance fees to the sites mentioned.
